Tre Mason Rams RB Cardinals Stop Cutback Play

Tre Mason scored on as 90 yard run against the Oakland Raiders two weeks ago in a 52 to 0 win. The running play was a cutback out of an offset I formation. Where the Raiders over pursued the play, the Cardinals defensive penetration stopped Mason before he could effectively cut back. The Cardinals defensive scheme featured the linemen crowding the interior and leaving each gap accounted for. That allowed for quick penetration and the result you see.
