Rhona Mitra, John Pyper Ferguson Talk "The Last Ship" At WonderCon 2015

Rhona Mitra and John Pyper Ferguson Talk "The Last Ship" At WonderCon 2015 Rhona Mitra and John Pyper Ferguson play Dr. Rachel Scott and Tex, respectively. They're two of the stars of TNT's "The Last Ship", which, in its first year 2014, was the number one hit show on cable television, according to TNT. I have to confess my own love for "The Last Ship", which is kind of a cross between "Star Trek" and "The Caine Mutiny", and "The Andromeda Strain." The second season starts June 2015. "The Last Ship" is the story of a US Aircraft Carrier at sea which learns that a worldwide pandemic has rapidly wiped out 80 percent of the Earth's human population. Dr. Rachel Scott discovers the cure, which one would think makes lives easier. Before I continue, I have to say that Rhona Mitra is one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen in my life. She has a presence that's intoxicating, and it's something that's kind of covered up on television by her character. In person, she's just plain nuclear hot, and I was not prepared for her aura. I'm serious. John Pyper Ferguson is one of the nicest people I have interviewed at WonderCon or Comic Con, or The Oscars. He's not caught up in being a star and is very approachable and engaging. Now, to the interview. The talk was mostly about the crazy romance that exists between Rachal and Tex. But given Rachel's relationship with Commander Chandler, their also seems to be a window for a love triangle to develop. Ms. Mitra didn't downplay that chance, but reminded us the mission at hand is to save the World. "They (Rachel and Tex) have a level of professionalism that's understood..", she says. Does either Rhona or John have a plan for the apocalypse? For her part, Rhona says she's going to Chile, and we can join her. I'm there! Visit our blog Zennie62.com here: http://ift.tt/1d6iMwr
