Leigh Steinberg On Paxton Lynch, Daniel Lasco, NFL To LA, Concussion The Movie

Leigh Steinberg On Paxton Lynch, Daniel Lasco, NFL To LA, Concussion The Movie Leigh Steinberg, who once had half of all starting NFL Quarterbacks as part of his client list as a sports agent, is solidly back in the game after landing two top NFL Draft-bound college football players. Paxton Lynch is the surprise as he elected to forgo his final year of eligibility at Memphis and head to the NFL Draft. According to some prognosticators, Lynch could be the stop pick. Lynch is 6-7, 245 lbs, threw for 3,778 yards, 28 touchdowns, and just four interceptions. Watching him, Lynch reminds me of Brock Osweiler of the Denver Broncos, who really looks like the spitting image of him - or vice-versa. UC Berkeley's Daniel Lasco was the leading rusher for the California Golden Bears and had over 1,000 yards in 2014 before injuries slowed him in 2015 - still he gained 331 yards and three touchdowns. He's a do-all back capable of running, catching and returning kicks. Plus, he's an honors student off the field. Steinberg landed both of these prize players after over a year of getting to know their families. That's the way Leigh does it - he wants to gain the trust of the player's family, where some agents might go to the player. In the video we talk about Lynch and Lasco and their NFL Draft preparation work to come. Then we turned to the topic of the NFL's effort to put a team into the Los Angeles Basin area. Leigh's had a lot of experience in that area and a lot to say, so his comments, especially on what Oakland must do to retain the Raiders, are worth hearing. The topic of football and head injuries is something Leigh had brought up for the last 20 years or so. Given that, I asked for his view on Will Smith's movie "Concussion". Finally, we talked about his upcoming San Francisco Super Bowl Party. This is, I believe, the 30th such event he's held, and will be at The Metreon at CityView at 4th Street and Mission in San Francisco, near Union Square. Leigh's parties always draw a cool mix of celebrities, politicians, artists, players, business leaders, models, and just plain personalities, and this one will be no different. The full interview is 41 minutes, so grab a warm drink and meal, sit down, and enjoy! Visit our blog Zennie62.com here: http://ift.tt/1d6iMwr
