Chevron Wins $28 Million Judgment In Ecuador Case Steven Donziger took a giant hit. His company called Amazonia Recovery Ltd was ordered to pay $28 million to Chevron. The company was sued by Chevron for its involvement in the fraudulent case and did not put up a defense in court in Gibraltar, where it is located but has no assets. The firm was the holding company that was to collect the billions expected from a successful yet fraudulent attempt to collect money from Chevron for environmental damage it did not due but Ecuador did to itself in the guise of State run Petroecuador oil company.
